Scallywagz - Flintshire Childminding Group
About me
I am 41, married and with two children; a daughter born in 2004 and a son born in 2008. Originally from Liverpool via West Lancashire, in 1992 I set up a magazine for the Liverpool music scene, Groove, which I ran for two years before becoming one of the original students at the ‘Paul McCartney Fame School’ (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts). After graduating in Enterprise Management, I spent the next ten years working freelance within the arts in roles ranging from magazine editor to festival organiser. In 2008, after the birth of my second child, we moved the family to Mynydd Isa and became part of a secure network of parents and children through my daughter’s school. The next natural step was to work with children and I was registered as a childminder in 2011.

The Setting
The Little Bungalow has a large playroom / conservatory, and room for play in the lounge and kitchen. The garden is completely enclosed and safe for play, we are close to two parks and within walking distance of the Bonc in Mynydd Isa. Although I do not drive, we are on the bus route to Buckley railway station and the children love journeys on the little bus with the seat belts! We are also two minutes walk away from buses to Mold, Chester, Ellesmere Port and Flint should we need them.  As all of the rooms are on one floor, it is totally accessible. We do a lot of baking, painting and creative crafts and books are a big feature of our home with lots of quiet reading time and access to books at all times. We are a non-smoking household, with no pets and are English speaking only.
